How it all began…

We work a farm passed from my Granddaddy to my Dad.  I retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2013 and returned home to help out my dad until his passing in 2014.  Getting to spend that year with my dad was really a gift. Although many of the things I wanted to do with the farm was pretty far from the row cropping and cattle/pig management my dad had ever done.  He was, however, open to seeing how everything would work out and was skeptical, but pleasantly surprised by how well things we were trying worked out.

The main goal of our farm is to provide animals that are raised as close to what Mother Nature intended as possible.  Not only does this create a stress free environment for our animals but also allows them to express their physiological distinctiveness (i.e the pigness of the pigs). This gives our customers a clean and antibiotic free product that not only noticeable in taste, but the presentation as well. We use rotational grazing for our cows and poultry allowing our animals to move easily from place to place knowing they have good stuff waiting for them in the next paddock. This approach has changed health and vigor of our animals, our grass, and the quality of the meat and eggs we produce.
